MY CLINICAL APPROACH
I believe that behind every effective treatment lies strong trust and mutual respect between a client and a therapist. As I get to know my clients and learn about their lives and their concerns, it is important for me to establish together a safe and supportive environment. My collaborative approach is based predominantly on psychodynamic modalities and psychoanalytic theory. In other words, my goal in treatment is to co-create a safe enough environment for my clients to introspect, make connections between the past and the present, and gain a wider perspective on their difficulties.

In my work, my warm and authentic stance helps me to build trust and curiosity with my clients. My goal is to help them heal past wounds by fostering a holding and caring attitude that nurtures hope and connectedness. I intend to go beyond symptom alleviation in sessions and to support my clients in a manner that helps them achieve greater independence, freedom, and playfulness.

I typically provide long-term treatment that is open-ended and client-led. While my approach to treatment is explorative in nature, I often integrate structured and directive methods to help my patients regulate intense feelings and deepen their work. I realize that each therapeutic relationship is different and therefore I tailor my approach to therapy based on each client's individual needs. Together, we strive to develop deep self-understanding and to help them find richer and more flexible narratives about themselves that would better explain their experiences and interactions.

In my shared journey with my clients, I use my own subjective experience and personality in order to form honest connections. I do so by allowing myself to be genuine, warm, empathic, and playful. I found that this approach makes it easier for clients to find and express their own individual voices.
